ARTIST RESIDENCY AT ABA HOUSE IN GHANA
July 25 - August 7, 2025
Cost US $1,800.00
Stay at our guest house/cultural center in an African village. On the first day there will be a tour of our village and on day 2, with inspiration from your tour, the residency will begin. Open to all disciplines, ages and skill levels participants will have workspace to create, connect and collaborate with locals and visiting artists. Included in residency are a day trip to Accra to museums - galleries - open markets and a day trip to a traditional crafts village. We will conclude with a performance by traditional drummers and dancers.
Included: airport pick up - room - workspace - tour of Nungua - day trip to Accra - day trip to traditional village - drum/dance performance
Not included: airfare/related expenses - meals (many inexpensive food options in our neighborhood)- workshop materials
COST: US $1,800.00
Deposit of $1,000.00 due on or before April 1, 2025
Balance due on or before May 1, 2025

We are a pretty much self funded non-profit. Fees for workshops and tours support our two-fold mission of training local children to be self sufficient by developing their sense of self-esteem and empowerment. By paying school related expenses we encourage the children to stay in school and become productive members of society. We also work with indigenous artisans, pay them to conduct workshops at our residencies and help them sell their traditional crafts. In order to achieve our mission, the fees also cover expenses like internet access, cost of supplies and general expenses that support our programs.
