PAST WORKSHOPS

View our Upcoming Workshops

Cross Cultural Collaborative has been hosting artists and workshops every year since 2001.
Below is a sampling of our past workshops and individual projects.

Our residencies are open to all disciplines, ages and skill levels. Each residency, although always based on African Art and culture, vary in that they focus on the participants goals. We find that even if you're a potter, mixed media artist or from other creative sources taking part in varying workshops gives you inspiration in your chosen field. As an example, we always have an African artisan teach an ADINKRA textile workshop (a traditional Ghanaian craft using symbols based on proverbs). Potters have used the symbols in their work and, even the Aba House kids have incorporated them into their handmade books. Inspiration comes from everything when you open yourself to new experiences.
